That's right...I may actually become an optometrist. Although I've been preparing like crazy for this, I wasn't sure if anything would become of it this go round. Getting into optometry school is extremely competitive. You basically have a 1 in 10 chance of getting in at most schools. Making it past the first round of applications and getting an interview is a huge deal and it means the school is actually considering you as an ideal candidate!! So far, I've gotten two interviews!! I will be going to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, PA on September 21 and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN on September 26 for interviews. Of course I am nervous, but I know that God has opened these doors for me and he will continue to be with me throughout this process. I am so excited that I may get accepted into optometry school in 2012. I pray that this is God's will for me!
