I'll take another one, please!

Today was one of the best days I have had in a long time.  

This morning I called a local optometrist that I've been trying to shadow for a few weeks now.  I was just planning on scheduling a time within the next two weeks to drop by, but they told me to come in immediately!  I was only there for two hours but I really had the best time.  Dr. Robbins let me look through all of his equipment at the patients eyes.  I got to see someone's optic nerve and cataracts! (You know you're a nerd when you get excited about cataracts.)  I'm so glad I decided to consider optometry instead of genetic counseling.  I'm going to start going to Dr. Robbin's office nearly every week to gain more experience.  I'm ready to apply to optometry school RIGHT NOW.

After shadowing I went to my first class. I didn't listen to a single word the professor said, but I did get a lot of studying for physiology done!  After that I had physiology and my next class was canceled.  I came home and took a one-hour nap, which I haven't had time to do in a loooong time.  When I woke up, it was time for Giada and Ina on Food Network.  

I love days like today.
