It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Of course this time of year always gets people in a different spirit.  People are happier because they know they're going to be getting presents soon or because they will have a few days off work (or a whole month off from school, in my case).  Although those are some perks of the holidays, Christmas makes me happy for a different reason.  As a child I loved Christmas because of the presents, but as I've gotten older I have realized that I don't need gifts to make the holiday special.  I am so blessed with an incredible family, and being able to spend time with them is what makes Christmas my favorite time of the year.  Since I am in school most of the year and my life's priority becomes biology, I miss a lot of time I would normally spend with the people who matter the most in my life.  So here are a few things I love about my family:

My mama, Maria:  Although we haven't always gotten along (we both remember the time you chased me around the house and the visitors outside wanted to know what was going on in there) you truly are one of my best friends.  You have been the one to push me to reach all of my goals, and I am so thankful that you did that for me.

My daddy, Tony:  You are the only person I know who NEVER gets angry.  You always know how to make everyone laugh.  You have such a meek nature when everyone else is crazy.  Could you give some of your meek nature to mama?  Just kidding!!

My brother, Dylan:  I am so thankful that we have always gotten along.  Although we are very different, we're alike at the same time.  I am glad that we have such a good relationship, because I know many brothers and sisters don't.  I hope that I am someone you look up to and always will.
