1. Work out with Richard Simmons! He owns a gym in Beverly Hills called Slimmons. It only costs a few dollars for a whole hour of working out with him. He is super hilarious and you really will work up a sweat. He will even take pictures and sign autographs afterwards. Sweating with Richard is a great way to make memories.

2. Chinese Grauman Theater. This seems obvious. If you're going to LA, you have to go here. You can place your hands in the hand prints of many movie legends (and if you're really desperate you can put your hair in Whoopi Goldberg's dreadlock prints).

3. See the Hollywood sign. If you do #2 on the list, then #3 can easily be accomplished since you only have to walk a short way to the Kodak Theater where there is an excellent view of the sign.

4. Huntington Beach. It isn't true that all the beaches on the west coast have the BIG waves that the east coasts lacks. I had never really experienced surfing waves until going to Huntington Beach. The waves are massive and will probably knock you down more than a few times, but it can be so much fun.

5. Knott's Berry Farm. Sure SixFlags is fun, but Knott's is even better. Montezooma's Revenge will give you whiplash like you never thought possible. The Perilous Plunge is just a few feet shorter than Niagra Falls! But a warning to all girls...Rip Tide will kill your girl parts.

6. The Getty Museum. If you like art, you will love the Getty. Even the building itself is beautiful. It's surrounded by gardens and it has an incredible view of the LA area.

I think it's pretty obvious that there are LOTS of things to do in LA and this doesn't even put a dent in the list. If you ever had a couple of hundred dollars and a few days to spare, go visit!
